Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard Group is a provincial enterprise group established by Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd as the main body.
　　Founded as early as on May 25th ,1951, Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard (Group) Co., Ltd (hereafter called Zhenjiang Shipyard), as the headquarter of Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard Group and existing so called Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard, is the first founding shipbuilding enterprise in Jiangsu Province and the first identified hi-tech marine enterprise re-approved by Jiangsu provincial government. Zhenjiang Shipyard is the key enterprise of the major Industrial Chain Base in Jiangsu Province, first batch enterprise meeting with the ship industry standard condition published by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of  China, and a major strategic emerging enterprise focused by the Nation Development and Reform Commission.
　　In 2003, we moved to the east of Run Yang Bridge. Now we have 5 wholly-owned subsidiaries in China such as Jiangsu Lan Bo Shipbuilding Co. Ltd and Zhenjiang Lan Bo Ship Design Co., Ltd etc. We have also invested one share of subsidiary in domestic market, two in an oversea marine company, owning one Dock factory. Currently, our shipyard covers an area of about 500,000m2 and possesses a coastal line as long as 700 meters. Being equipped with three slipways, one 80,000 DWT, one 20,000 DWT and one 5,000 DWT, the yard also boasts two fixed quays and one outfitting dock. The maximum lifting capacity of the DWT is 600 tons. With a total reach of 1200 meters, the quay is also featured by a maximum lifting capacity of 30 tons. We are a technically advanced ship builder and the manufacturing process is split into three units, hull manufacturing, outfitting and paint coating. With an area of 100,000m2 of indoor workshops and over 1300 pieces of equipment, we are a completely integrated manufacturing facility which includes design, manufacture and management of all aspects of approvals and quality assurance, giving the customer peace of mind.
　　Over the past 73 years of development, based on basic requirement of “Take it seriously, make no excuses, keep it promise, seek innovation variously and make features reputably”, our company has listened to the market demands from clients as its guidance and employed technology and design skills to constantly adjust its product structure and high technological capabilities to meet the clients’ demands and market needs. By maintaining our unique operation policy, inventive design and diversified development, we have become the “First in China” of 56 projects in special engineering vessel manufacture. In terms of tug manufacturing volume, our company has become the first domestically with a 70% market share of multifunctional ASD tugs in China and other product range expanding daily. In 2020, ASD tugboat is classified as “The champion product in China’s manufacturing industries”, our company becoming the first brand in multi-functional ASD tugboat design and building in China. The total number of multi-purpose Marine engineering ships has reached nearly 100, reaching the world's advanced level in aspects of power design, functional configuration, environmental protection, energy saving, stability and maneuverability. Products are throughout the major coastal ports and exported to more than 20 countries and regions, such as Asia, Africa, Europe, the United States.
　　We have developed a series of modern shipbuilding technologies as 3D design applications, precise shipbuilding technics, intelligent welding skills, pre-outfitting and painting skills. Besides, we have a strong and stable technical R&D personnel over 100 members, which helps us establish an independent and advanced R&D capabilities, three provincial technical centers, six national key new products, thirty provincial new hi-tech products, over 100 patents and over 70 types of modern vessels. Meanwhile, we further cooperate with foreign marine companies, so we could learn more international design ideas and critical technics to enhance our enterprise facilities. In recent years, many key new products like LNG-powered ASD engineering vessels, Diesel-electric hybrid offshore oil platform supply vessel, Blue Drive Plus C oil platform supply vessel, Smart ASD tugboat in domestic, Dual-fuel powered ASD tugboat in domestic port，Diesel-electric hybrid smart ASD tugboat, 120teu with pure-electric propulsion in domestic inland river and Ferry boat with full electric propulsion in Yangtze river have been constructed and delivered in our yard, which provided us a good launching-pad to grab a big share in the high-end environment-friendly vessel market.
　　Following a 4-step Development Plan which covered a ten year period, Zhenjiang Shipyard has successfully achieved the three steps of the Plan. Now, with the target to the fourth step, Zhenjiang shipyard is striving for the transformation into a modern shipbuilding company, so as to become the top specialist shipbuilder in China and known throughout the world and step forward to Hundred years enterprise, Ten-billion enterprise goal.
