【Technology】Another Self-developed ASD product Approved

Recently, another self-developed and environment-friendly ASD tugboat, which expands the view scope from the stern area from Zhenjiang Shipyard was approved as a new hi-tech product by Jiangsu Science and Technology Department.

Most ASD tugboats exhaust from the above area which brings huge visual dead zone for the operator from the stern area and could lead to any accident further. But this new hi-tech from Zhenjiang Shipyard was improved from its structure and can greatly reduce the stern visual dead zone while keep the tug original performance and increase its safety factor during operation.

Through its structural improvement, the tug was designed to reduce the outside surface part of exhaust pipe by 93.3%, lower the height between the exhaust pipe top surface and bridge deck by 45% and extend the distance from exhaust pipe to the rear bulkhead of the wheelhouse by 112.5%, which also improves the wheelhouse working environment. Meanwhile, the visual angle of its dead zone was upgraded to±2.5⁰from the original ±14⁰. That means the visual scope of its dead zone was decreased by 82% as to ensure a highly-efficient performance of the tug.

Now this kind of product also approved as a utility model patent, with patent number ZL 201220524715.3.
